Founder Daniel Harper started working in kitchen and interior projects around Buckinghamshire after learning the practical side of fitting and space planning on refurbishment jobs in the Milton Keynes area. He found that the same problems appeared again and again: homeowners had plenty of inspiration but found it difficult to translate individual ideas into one workable room. Daniel became increasingly interested in the planning stage, where a few careful decisions could prevent years of everyday frustration.
He established Kitchen Design Milton Keynes to bring design and practical project thinking closer together. Early projects were mainly recommendations from homeowners around Milton Keynes, Bletchley and Newport Pagnell, with Daniel personally handling the layout work and spending time on site to understand how design decisions translated into real buildings. That experience shaped the company's preference for straightforward plans, sensible clearances and storage designed around actual household needs.
As the workload grew, kitchen planner Hannah Collins and installation lead Mark Reynolds joined the business. The team now works across Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and nearby towns, but the underlying approach has stayed the same: listen first, plan carefully and create kitchens that feel natural to use once the project is finished.
